Week 11 - Done and sent
Watercolor portrait. First one since really working on portraiture and had a very tough time with it. Gee, I'd forgotten that watercolor and oil are sooooo different! Worked from client photos of grandchildren. It has now been photographed, packed and mailed! Now it is on to the next project!

Is this strictly transparent watercolor, or do you ever go opaque?
Trevor, Thanks for asking. 99% of the time I'm a purist and prefer transparent. I did have to go into a bit of gesso for some opaque white to adjust some things this time. It was challenging not to paint this like an oil. I may have gone with a heavier hand than I normally would.
